A professional keyboard coach Darius believes that just like learning any other thing, learning to play the keyboard starts with first getting to know and falling in love with it. Seems quite logical, right? In this live and interactive music course, he’ll help you take those baby steps that’ll build in you a strong musical foundation. The aim is to get you interested in the keyboard to dive deeper into further exploration. And the intention, to equip you to start playing your favourite songs by the end of the course.

Your Guru

Darius D'Souza is a Mumbai-based musician and a creative nerd. Having qualified Grade 7 (keyboard) from the renowned Trinity College London, he is a full-time music coach and has trained 100+ students in his music academy. Keyboardist and Rhythm Guitarist in a band called Final Recall, Darius is a multi-instrumentalist and has ventured into electronic music as well. Darius spends his time writing and producing music (both commercially and for himself) editing videos for fun and indulging in art to keep his creativity flowing.

What will you learn?

By the end of the course, you’ll be able to learn:

I. Musical Notations
You’ll understand musical notations and will be able to read and write them.

II. Note Values
You’ll be able to recognize different note types and their values.

III. Finger exercises
You’ll develop a fair bit of finger flexibility and dexterity so that you can eventually play with both hands!

IV. Time Signatures
This course will provide you with a basic understanding of how rhythm and timing work in music.

Who is it for?

Anybody beginning to learn the piano. No prior knowledge of music is required for this course. Also good for those looking to brush up the basics.

What To Bring

How To Participate

1. A basic physical keyboard
2. A Manuscript/stave book (or at least a few stave sheets)

2. Check that you have a stable internet connection for best experience. 3. A computer or a laptop is preferred over a smartphone.

4. Set up a good sound system for the most immersive experience.
